TAMPA — Kindle Vildor and the Calamitous NFC Championship Game
Kindle Vildor, a seasoned NFL player, is no stranger to making impressive plays on the field. However, it was a critical mishap during the NFC Championship game in 2023 that left a mark on his career.
During the game, the Lions were in the lead against the 49ers when a pivotal moment occurred. San Francisco’s Brock Purdy launched a deep pass to Brandon Aiyuk, which ultimately bounced off Vildor’s facemask and landed in Aiyuk’s hands, resulting in a significant gain for the opposing team.
The resulting play set up a touchdown for the 49ers, leading to their ultimate victory with a score of 34-31.
Despite the unfortunate incident, Vildor has moved on and has recently signed a one-year contract with the Bucs worth $1.17 million.
Bucs, Dolphins Making Moves
Recent player movements see linebacker K.J. Britt heading to Miami while Anthony Walker joins the Bucs on a one-year deal.
The Bucs’ decision to part ways with Britt, who struggled in pass coverage despite his leadership qualities, led to Walker’s addition to the team. Walker brings experience and talent, having started 20 games for the Dolphins over the last two seasons.
With these changes, both teams are looking to strengthen their defenses for the upcoming season.
