The first-ever Verizon Super Bowl Fan Fest is coming to 30 cities for the big game, and Tampa’s party will be on the waterfront at Sparkman Wharf from 4:30-10 p.m. on Feb. 9. Hall of Famer Derrick Brooks will be there along with other Bucs alumni, Captain Fear and team cheerleaders.
Derrick Brooks: A Bucs Legend
Brooks, who spent his entire career as a Bucs linebacker, also starred in the funniest United Way commercialever with a chorus of kids on a school bus reluctantly singing, “Who’s our favorite player? Mr. Derrick Brooks.”
Fans will always remember him for his 2003 Super Bowl-winning interception off Rich Gannon, as well as appearing in 11 Pro Bowls in 14 seasons with the Buccaneers.
