The Dolphins released a statement addressing the situation, stating: “This morning, WR Tyreek Hill was pulled over for a traffic incident about one block from the stadium and briefly detained by police. He has since been released. Tyreek and all other players involved have safely arrived to the stadium and will be available for today’s game.” Hill did indeed suit up and play in the game, with no further interruptions.
This incident comes on the heels of a previous off-field controversy involving Hill earlier this year. In June, Hill was involved in an alleged altercation at a Miami marina, where he was accused of striking a man during a dispute. While this matter was later settled, Hill’s recent detainment adds to concerns over his off-field behavior.
